"Only the Federal Reserve System was designed to survive and take over all assets and banking activities. Only the Federal Reserve Banks and those selected and controlled by the Federal Reserve were allowed to reopen. The Federal Reserve was also indemnified by the government, i.e. the public, for any losses. And so, large-scale closure of banks and taking of bank deposits is not unprecedented. Holders of cash in banks are unsecured creditors, with no enforceable claim to their money. [...] All deposits and assets will be taken by the "protected class" of secured creditors. This is where it is going." ~ David Rogers Webb

Its time for the conclusion of "The Great Taking," In Part 4 we explore how the 1933 Bank Holiday wasn't a rescue, but a carefully orchestrated wealth transfer that created the template for today's coming collapse. With derivatives worth more than the entire global economy "backed" by comically unfunded FDIC insurance, and central bank digital currencies ready to replace the old system with absolute control, are we witnessing the final phase of the greatest theft in human history?

"I am illustrating the horror and simplicity of the lie. You are led to believe that you own something, but someone else secretly controls it as collateral, and they have now established legal certainty that they have absolute power to take it immediately in the event of insolvency, and not your insolvency, but insolvency of the people who secretly gave them your property as collateral. It does not seem possible, but this is exactly what has been done with all tradable financial instruments globally. [...] Essentially, all securities, quote, owned by the public in custodial accounts, pension plans, and investment funds are now encumbered as collateral, underpinning the derivatives complex." ~ David Rogers Webb

What if everything you think you own in the financial system has already been secretly pledged as collateral to powerful creditors, who are even explicitly referred to in documentation and law as "the protected class"? In Part 2 of "The Great Taking," we continue into the depths of the legal structure and institutions that comprise a shadow network of secured creditors positioned to seize all tradable assets in the next financial collapse. From CIA operatives orchestrating the transition away from physical certificates to international legal harmonization efforts that override national property laws, this episode reveals how the very concept of ownership may have been quietly redefined while nobody was watching. When the music stops in this global game of financial musical chairs, will ordinary investors discover they never actually owned anything at all?

"It is important to note that what is exposed here is not conjecture. It is found in authentic primary source documents, in which the planners themselves lay out their plans. ... You are about to be confronted with quite shocking, depressing material. You don’t want to know about this. I don’t even want to know about it." ~ David Rogers Webb

What if "The Great Reset" is exactly what it seems? A deliberate plan to subvert the sovereignty of every nation on earth by a system of total monetary and technological control? Would there be any reason to believe the narratives of our political environments, or the economic metrics published to show how everything is business as usual? What is the real story, and as things are now unfolding before us, what can we do to protect ourselves and make sense of the coming end to a generational cycle?

Today we start into The Great Taking, to be covered in 4 parts, of the real story behind what may be the greatest rug pull of all time. Let's dive in.

Chat_133 - Bitcoin Development & Controversy with Antoine Poinsot
2

"People can use inscriptions today and they do use them.
If on the one hand you believe that marginally raising the costs to unwanted usage of the chain is going to succeed in discouraging them, which, fair, we can discuss it. I disagree but we can discuss it. On the other hand, you cannot say that, oh well, making it four times four times more expensive is going to incentivize them to do more of it. They are not compatible arguments.
So the OP_RETURN is not an invitation. It's not a signal to VCs or crypto or shitcoiners, because shitcoiners can already use the witness data today for four times less."
~ Antoine Poinsot

What happens when strong opinions collide in the name of Bitcoin’s future?

In this episode, I sit down with Bitcoin Core contributor Antoine Poinsot to explore one of the most heated and misunderstood technical debates in the space today — the controversy around OP_RETURN, spam filtering, and the deeper cultural divide over what Bitcoin should be.
Antoine reached out after and wanted the chance to present his views on the OP_RETUN debate and respond to some of Bitcoin Mechanic’s comments and criticisms from our Roundtable_009 episode. So I brought him on to make his case directly. We get into inscriptions, BitVM, node policy, mining centralization, and how to think clearly in a space full of noise and personal attacks.

If you've felt lost in the drama, this is the calm, thoughtful signal you’ve been waiting for.

Chat_132 - How to Stack More Bitcoin [THE Bitcoin Podcast]
2

"You must not work hard for something that somebody else can make an infinite amount of for free at no cost and no contribution. If you are working hard for something, do it for something that is hard to make. That is the point of money.

That is the point of society. It is an antithetical to cooperation and basic common sense to work for something. It just means you're working for them.

If they can print trillions of it for free, you're just working for them. Stop working for them and use a money that has the same rules for everybody. And trust me on a long enough timeline that will pay off like you could not believe."

~ Guy Swann

I sat down with Walker and Will Reeves (CEO of Fold) for a real-world, no-fluff conversation about what it actually means to live on a Bitcoin standard. We broke it down: why saving in fiat feels like running uphill, how Fold makes it dead simple to start stacking, and what it looks like to bring your family into Bitcoin without turning your life upside down. We talked about the slow grind of inflation, the hidden cost of working for a money they can print endlessly, and why saving in Bitcoin is not just sane—it’s essential. Will shares some powerful insights on building tools that meet people where they are, and I offer my own experience using Fold to stack quietly, consistently, and meaningfully.

Big thanks to Walker and Will for an awesome conversation.

Read_881 - The Problem is Deeper Than Spam
2

What if the real issue is actually much deeper than how to deal with spam?

Everyone is arguing about mempool settings, who gets to decide the policy, what spam is, can it be filtered, and what the consequences of doing so are on the network. But this all stems from a much more serious and too often ignored issue, something that still seemingly VERY few people are doing anything concrete about: that Bitcoin has no miners, it has hashers and barely a handful of centalized pools that control what goes into blocks...

How does this relate to the spam issue, and can anything be done about it? This is a crucial episode for anyone who wants to understand the OP_RETURN wars.

Take_099 - OP_RETURN The Signal and the Noise
2

In this episode, I break down one of the most contentious mempool debates in Bitcoin’s recent history — the proposed removal of OP_RETURN limits. I explore what the change actually means, why it’s causing such a stir, and what both sides are getting wrong. Is this a technical clean-up or a social signal with dangerous implications? Could it quietly invite back the crypto spam Bitcoin has fought to shed? I do my best to separate the signal from the noise, stealman the arguments, and offer my own perspective on why this fight matters more than it seems — and maybe, why it shouldn't have started at all.

From chasing ICOs and getting social engineered out of funds, to buying into DeFi bubbles and getting caught in exchange collapses, their story is a stark reminder of the risks involved. What can we learn from their journey, and how does it highlight the fundamental difference between chasing tokens and understanding Bitcoin? Join me as I dissect this cautionary tale and reinforce the simple lessons that could save you a world of pain.

What if the true barrier to a world of seamless micropayments isn’t technological, but psychological? In this episode of Bitcoin Audible, we revisit Nick Szabo’s classic essay, “The Mental Accounting Barrier to Micropayments,” exploring why even with lightning-fast, low-cost Bitcoin transactions, the smallest payments might never take off as expected. Can new monetization models, AI agents, and value-for-value systems overcome the hidden costs in our minds-or will human cognition always set the lower bound on how small a transaction can be? Dive in as we unpack the unseen limits shaping the future of digital payments and online commerce.

Read_878 - Forest Walker: Bitcoin mining and Forest Management
2

New technologies demand a better imagination. Old models will break, and new, unexpected, and wild ideas will replace them. In this episode, I dive into David Bennett’s wild “Forest Walker” concept. Can Bitcoin mining actually tip the scales on ideas that couldn't breach the barrier into economic sustainability? Could a fleet of autonomous, Bitcoin-powered forest robots be the answer to catastrophic wildfires, or is it too much complexity in a world that needs simple solutions? Let’s dig in and see if this crazy idea is really as far-fetched as it sounds—or if it’s exactly the kind of out-of-the-box thinking Bitcoin was made for.

"This over-developed brain wiring supercharged our interest in scarce assets and our drive to obtain them. Behaviorally, this may have amounted to making us weirdos who collected seashells, simply because we couldn’t help but value their special rarity. But as we’ll explore, that odd behavioral quirk may have made all the difference for our species." — Jesse Myers

What if the secret to humanity’s dominance wasn’t intelligence or brute strength, but a weird obsession with rare objects? Today we dive into a new and wildly interesting piece from Jesse Myers’ that tries to piece together evidence from pre-ancient history that may explain not only the importance of money in civilization, but that it may be more fundamental to the existence of our species than we even realize.Tune in as we dive into the evolutionary roots of money, the power of abstract thought, and what it all means for the future of value.

What does financial repression look like in real time — and how are people fighting back with Bitcoin?

In this episode, I read the Human Rights Foundation’s Financial Freedom Report #67, a roundup of the latest developments in monetary control, state surveillance, and Bitcoin tools empowering those under authoritarian regimes. From currency collapses in Turkey to smart contract-enforced CBDCs in Russia, we explore the chilling precision of financial control systems being deployed around the world. But it’s not all bleak — this report also highlights powerful tools like Stratum V2 mining pools, Cashew’s tap-to-pay e-cash, and HRF-supported grassroots adoption efforts in Pakistan and beyond.

I follow the read with a Guy’s Take on the medium-of-exchange debate — and why using Bitcoin as a store of value may be more radical than it seems.
